It’s Sketchtember at 2PeasRefugees, daily page sketches to challenge us to get scrapbooking, or card-making, or creating anything. You’re welcome to join us, the more the merrier!
Today it’s my turn to provide the sketch. I have three versions for you: traditional 12 x 12-inch, 8 1/2 x 11-inch page and a 4 x 6-inch pocket card that can easily be adapted to make a greeting card.

Here’s One I Made Earlier!
Unusually the photos inspired the sketch. My husband and I had a daft exchange on WhatsApp and, being a good sport, he let me use his selfies. He always makes me laugh. Here is my 12 x 12-inch page:

Ian has been having lots of dental work done, hence the remarks about his teeth that he keeps showing off.
To imitate the conversational WhatsApp feel I alternated the paper strips between white and green, and the background is similar to how chats appear on my phone.
I use challenges like Sketchtember to practice my Photoshop skills. Drop shadows to the photos that look like curling-up edges is my skill for this page.
For my 8 1/2 x 11-inch page I kept everything the same. For the 4 x 6-inch pocket card I created a week title card.

I drew the letters and numbers for Week 36 and matched their colours from the striped paper. I added coloured photo frames for the flowers so that I could curl up the edges with shadow again.
It’s a simple sketch yet quite versatile. There’s plenty of white space, which I like, yet room to dress it up too.
