Abstract Experiments
with Photoshop Brushes
Playing with the Autumn Photoshop Brush release from Kyle Webster. On the left, homage to the event of the quarter, Adobe MAX, as a phone screen. The abstract piece on the right has no name and no home either, but I do like it.
Birthday Card
Photoshop painting
A birthday card for a friend, an Aberdeen Angus in all it's glory. I loved how this turned out, and it's probably the one piece I didn't agonise over excessively.
Photoshop Brush Play
On the left, a rather abstract view from my studio window of my hydrangeas this Autumn. On the right, I returned to a portrait I did in Spring, but used different brushes, colours and skin tone to change its look.
Graphic Design
with Adobe Express
In October I had a guest spot on Shawn Kosel's Behance Livestream. Our brief was to design a virtual Adobe MAX ticket using Adobe Express.
Not having done more than dip a toe into Adobe Express, it was a learning curve for me. I'm grateful to Shawn for all the tips and tricks he taught me and I think my ticket turned out rather good in the end.
Adobe Express is now an essential app in my toolbox, mostly for creating scheduling social media content. If you haven't tried it, watch a couple of Shawn's Livestreams and give it a go!
This last quarter was spent mainly working on the logo for Wigan Wildlife Gardener. Also, I'm still rubbish at sharing my work!
